Christine Lindop「Oxford Bookworms Bookworms Starters」『Sally's Phone』(YL0.8、語数1300)読了。入れ替わってしまった携帯電話がとりもつ恋ですか^^;)。

Janet Hardy-Gould「Oxford Bookworms Bookworms Starters」『King Arthur』(YL0.9、語数1500)読了。アーサー王伝説の概要を知ることができました。Magic Tree Houseでお馴染みのMorganも登場します。アーサー王伝説において、Morganは未来を見る能力をもつ人物なのですね。それでMagic Tree Houseでああいう役回りだったのかあ、と得心。でも、本書のMorganは、相当嫌なキャラになっていますね^^;)。

John Escott「Oxford Bookworms Bookworms Starters」『Robin Hood』(YL0.8、語数1500)読了。何となくしか知らない「ロビン・フッド」の概要を知ることができ、これまた有益でした。

John Escott「Oxford Bookworms Bookworms Starters」『Girl on a Motorcycle』(YL0.9、語数1500)読了。評判通り、面白かったです。主人公が銃口を突きつけられる危機には、ハラハラしました。

John Escott「Penguin Young Readers」『The Ghost House』(YL0.5、語数330)読了。幽霊が出そうな、ボロボロの家屋を姉弟が探索します。

John Escott「Oxford Bookworms Stage 2」『Agatha Christie, Woman of Mystery』(YL2.6、語数5960)読了。ミステリの女王、アガサ・クリスティの生涯を、ドラマチックに描いています。私は、クリスティの作品を読んだことはないのですが、本書でかなり興味を惹かれました。クリスティ自身も、失踪事件を引き起こすなどなかなかミステリアスな人だったんですね。
